    A DIY Financial Planning "Toolkit"

Think: Personal Financial Statement, Goal-Setting Workbook, Money Date Template, and more. These are the building blocks of personal finance, and are designed to help you answer questions like:

What is my financial situation today?

What do I want in the future?

Am I following personal finance best practices?

Do I have a written plan drafted in alignment with my spouse?

    Sample "Financial Plans"

We intend to use the resources in our DIY Financial Planning "Toolkit" to create "Financial Plans" for Fictional "Personas" (Entertainment and Education only, of course).

These "Personas" will be people and situations common to the BiggerPockets Money audience. Think "Barb" (Broke at 50, millionaire at 60), or "John" (Married, with kids, $175K HH Income, $750K net worth).

    A Perpetual Work In Progress

We are baffled that a comprehensive, free, resource library with solid personal financial planning templates does not exist already!

We intend to build on each document and plan with each passing year. We will invite expert feedback, or feedback from the community - including you - on each document and plan we produce, and expect and intend to update them over the coming months and years in the pursuit of continuous improvement. Expect these documents to evolve over time.
